Ian is the Regional Director of the West Central Minnesota SBDC at Minnesota State Community and Technical College. He specializes in translating AI into practical tools for small business advisors and entrepreneurs, developing initiatives like the AI Resource Lab and the "10 [C]hats: AI Solutions for Every Hat You Wear" training framework. His work focuses on helping advisors move beyond AI curiosity and into confident, real-world use with their clients. Ian is a 2024 America's SBDC 40 Under 40 honoree, a 2025 Minnesota SBA Excellence and Innovation Award recipient, and an active contributor to national SBDC AI efforts including the AI Interest Group.
